Creamy Tomato Basil Soup Recipe

Introduction: Tomato Basil Soup is a cozy classic that’s perfect for chilly days. Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (28 oz each) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot and sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes and broth, simmering for 15 minutes.
  3. Stir in cream and basil, cooking for another 5 minutes.
  4. Blend the soup until smooth (optional).
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then serve hot.
